SANTA MARIA DI LEUCA

Santa Maria di Leuca or as the ancients called it "de Finibus Terrae", is the extreme heel of Italy and the zone of meeting among two seas, the Adriatic and the Jonio. In particularly calm and deprived days of wind it is possible to see the line of junction of the two seas, in correspondence of Punta Ristola, the extreme of Italy.

To visit: the Sanctuary of the Virgo of "Finibus Terrae", where, according to the legend, it needs to go at least once in life; the sea caves; the small place of Ciolo, from which to see in distance the dawn with the houses of Albania; the place of St. Gregorio, famous for the particular its creek with
pebbly beach.
